"Citizens United v. Federal Elections Commission - Podcast"

Steve Simpson of the Institute for Justice and I recently recorded this 50-minute podcast for the Federalist Society debating the Citizens United case. Eugene Volokh of UCLA moderated the discussion.

I very much enjoyed this discussion, and I hope listeners will as well. I will let readers judge the debate for themselves, but from my own point of view, I found the discussion at the very end of the podcast the most illuminating part. In this part, I asked Steve about the possibility that there could be real corruption of politicians if the Supreme Court ultimately accepted his views about the unconstitutionality of contribution limitations and other limitations. I was both pleased by his candor and troubled by the merits of his position. Others no doubt will cheer what he had to say.
